Close or reopen Amazon listings
Use the Closed by seller Writeback field to change a listing’s closed status.
Search results
The Closed by seller field lets you close or reopen supported existing listings from Google Sheets.
Set up and prepare the change
- Add the Closed by seller Writeback field to the sync. Include product and marketplace identifiers so you can recognize the target rows.
- For each listing you want to close, enter TRUE in its editable Closed by seller cell.
- For a listing you want to reopen, enter FALSE.
- Select the intended cells and open Writebacks → Edits in selected range.
- Review the product, account, marketplace and TRUE/FALSE value before an account admin submits.
Check the outcome
Wait for the final processing email and inspect Last Writeback Issues. Refreshing incoming data is separate from submitting the status change.
FALSE means the listing is not closed by the seller. It does not guarantee the offer will be buyable: inventory, suppression, policy restrictions and other Amazon conditions can still prevent sales.
Use a small first batch
Check a few representative listings before expanding to a larger update. Do not add new SKU rows to create listings; standard Writebacks update the imported, linked listings already in your sync.
If Amazon accepts an update but the product page still looks unchanged, follow Troubleshoot Writeback results.
