Set up Amazon Writebacks
Add editable listing columns so you can prepare and review changes in Google Sheets.
Search results
Writebacks let you update supported fields on existing Amazon listings from Google Sheets. You prepare edits in the sheet, review the proposed changes, and submit them through Hopted.
Before you begin
Connect the appropriate Amazon Seller Central account and enable your spreadsheet. An admin of the Hopted account must review and submit outgoing changes. Spreadsheet collaborators can help prepare edits.
Add editable columns
- Create a sync or edit an existing sync.
- In the field picker, select Writebacks fields and choose the supported fields you need from Listing Edits. Follow any source-selection requirements shown in the picker.
- Include enough identifying and view-only fields to recognize each product and compare the current value with your proposed edit.
- Add Last Writeback Issues if you want row-level errors and warnings in your sheet.
- Complete the setup and wait for the existing listings to import.
Prepare the first edit
Change a supported Writeback cell on an imported row. Start with a small, representative selection, then review and submit it before expanding the batch.
Each imported row is linked to its source seller account, marketplace and SKU. Adding a new row or typing a new SKU into the sheet does not create a new Amazon listing.
Understand what refresh does
The incoming refresh schedule and outgoing Writebacks are separate. A scheduled refresh does not automatically send your edits to Amazon. Only the changes you include and submit in the review are sent.
