Choose Vendor Central report options
Keep reporting period, date window, distributor view and selling program consistent.
Search results
Vendor reports can offer several choices that change the business meaning of the data. Match those choices before comparing the result with Vendor Central or another Hopted column.
Choose the report and its dates
- Select Amazon Vendor Central, then the vendor accounts and marketplaces for the sync.
- Choose the vendor report you need, such as Vendor Sales, Vendor Inventory, Vendor Traffic or Vendor Net Pure Product Margin.
- Open its report options and set Include records from.
- Choose the available Reporting period, keeping it consistent with the date window.
For weekly reporting, use complete past calendar weeks; for monthly reporting, use complete past calendar months. Do not pair a weekly or monthly reporting period with an arbitrary days-ago window. These standard analytics reports currently support daily, weekly and monthly reporting rather than quarterly or yearly requests.
The allowed history and window length vary by reporting period. A daily range may need to be much shorter than a monthly range. Follow the precise limit in any validation message rather than assuming a date range accepted by one report works for another.
Match the business view
Where offered, choose Distributor view—Manufacturing or Sourcing—and Selling program—such as Retail, Business or Fresh. Compare with the same selection in Vendor Central.
These choices are not interchangeable date labels. If two columns use different views or programs, name them clearly and do not treat their difference as sales growth without checking what each measures.
Allow for source timing
Standard vendor analytics and real-time vendor reports have different reporting windows and update delays. A faster sync schedule cannot make a completed analytics period available sooner.
Read the selected source's date and time-zone description. For definitions, use the Vendor Central reports directory.
