Amazon FBA Stranded Inventory
Stranded inventory is inventory in a fulfillment center that does not have an active offer on Amazon. Stranded inventory report shows a breakdown of units in your inventory that are in stranded status.
Hopted auto-imports Amazon FBA Stranded Inventory Report data into Google Sheets.
Inventory can become stranded for many reasons. Amazon provides a Stranded reason column on Fix stranded inventory. This column shows why each listing is stranded. For example, the listing for that product might have been suppressed or might have never been created, resulting in stored inventory that is accumulating storage fees but cannot be sold because the listing is not active.
Important: Amazon will notify you when you have stranded inventory. If you do not or cannot create a listing for your stranded inventory, or order its removal within 30 days of this notice, it will be designated unsellable. You are required to remove unsellable units.

How to resolve stranded inventory
All sellers are expected to update their stranded auto-removal settings to remove stranded inventory automatically. Note that if you have an account in multiple stores, you must configure your auto-removal settings in each store. If you have designated Amazon to accelerate the removal of stranded inventory, the units will be removed more quickly.
Avoid stranded inventory issues
Follow these guidelines to avoid the stranded inventory issues:
Do not close or delete a listing immediately after selling through your inventory:
If there is lost inventory at the fulfillment center, or if there are customer returns of an item, without an active offer, this inventory will be stranded.
Bulk upload templates:
If the quantity column is populated on Bulk Upload template (e.g., Inventory Loader), listings will change from Fulfilled by Amazon to Fulfilled by Merchant automatically, which strands your inventory.
Additionally, if you do not fill out the Is this product a battery or does it require batteries? column, it may strand your inventory in some categories.
Avoid creating multiple offers for the same product
When you create a new or revise an existing listing, make sure the ASIN, SKU, and condition are the same as the inventory in your stranded inventory list.
Include all vital information for a listing before sending a shipment, including the brand, category, price, and condition.
Scheduling automatic removal for stranded inventory.
The stranded auto-removal settings page in Amazon Seller Central shows you the Amazon recommended and the Maximum days allowed to schedule auto-removal for the stranded inventory. The recommended number of days and the maximum number of days will vary based on the stranded reason.
The auto-removal date will be calculated based on your settings and when the unit became stranded.
If you have not configured your stranded removal settings, the default setting is disposal after the maximum days from the date the inventory was first stranded, refer to the table below for reference.
You will receive an email notification on the day your inventory becomes stranded. You will be notified that you have stranded inventory in an Amazon fulfillment center that is scheduled for automatic removal and that the inventory will be returned or disposed of based on the settings you selected on the Fix stranded inventory page.
The maximum days allowed for each stranded reason is shown below:
If you have enabled Amazon to accelerate the automatic removal of stranded units, those units can be removed more quickly. You will receive a notification as soon as your inventory becomes stranded to notify you of this event, so that you can customize your settings on the Fix Stranded Inventory page, before the auto-removal date.
You can choose to accelerate the automatic removal of stranded units by assigning a value less than the maximum days allowed in the Days before automatic removal field. You can either choose the Amazon recommended number of days or provide your own.
